Christina Boyles is an Assistant Professor of Culturally Engaged Digital Humanities at Michigan State University. Her research explores the relationship between community archiving, digital humanities, and social justice. She currently directs projects funded by the Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities, including the Archivo de Respuestas Emergencias de Puerto Rico, or the Emergency Response Archive of Puerto Rico, a community archive that works with grassroots organizations to collect and preserve oral histories and artifacts pertaining to disaster.
