Southwest Quadrant
The southwest quadrant is the smallest quadrant of the D.C. metropolis and is currently the most highly gentrified area. The SW quadrant is where “Downtown” D. C. is located, and is home to the US Naval Research Lab. Although there are brief mentions of the SW quadrant in Jones’ fiction, it is largely untraveled and uninhibited by his characters.
