12019-12-13T10:52:03+00:00Kaylen Dwyerfc987bec1045e50762f5a924549e0332be7c034498This digitization of Just a Little Girl (1923) is based on a reprint dating c.1951 in order to preserve the original 1923 copy in the Rare Book and Manuscripts Library collection. Because Stratemeyer Syndicate reprints were reproduced using the same stereotype plates, rather than through a new typesetting of the original manuscript, to the best of our knowledge, we believe the original 1923 text and its artifacts are preserved in the digitization. This reprint is illustrated with the uniform cover by Harry Lane and pastedowns by Marie Schubert, but lacks the original internal illustrations by Walter S. Rogers. High resolution scans of the first edition cover image and internal illustrations are able to be provided with the help of Deidre Johnson.
