Tracye4d2055c1ec04bf92575642aae6698bc52f8f12a1221The film version of Brunettes, produced by Russ-Field Productions, again featured Jane Russell but with the plot and characters altered such that it is not a sequel to the MGM movie as the novel is a sequel to Blondes (thus the removal of "But" from the title). Anita Loos was not involved, but her niece Mary Loos acted as co-writer and associate producer. Critics generally disliked the film.plain2024-03-22T23:54:13+00:00Proquest Historical Newspapers, https://www.proquest.com/historical-newspapers/october-2-1955-page-98-141/docview/1891188433/se-29/1955UnknownIn CopyrightDaniel G.
