About this Edition
In Spring of 2019, Dr. Cara Finnegan from the Department of Communications approached our class History 207 Publishing the Past, a class at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a collection of race and gender related stereographs purchased in an antique store in Decatur, Illinois. All seven images were from the International Stereograph Company in Decatur, Illinois and the copyright dates them from 1898-1901. Considering these images are over 100 years old; thus the copyright has expired and the images are now in the public domain.
