Further Reading
This project capitalizes on the discovery of written works by African American women of the Civil War era. These works provide us with reading material for enlightenment and enjoyment. In addition to the full text of each author’s works, the project provides images, biographical information, historic newspaper articles, and secondary material for further reading.
“Further Reading” consists of resources for continued reading or additional research. The resources listed are all from WorldCat, the major database of library holdings. When a title is accessed using WorldCat, a search box is available that permits a full-text search of the entire database. WorldCat continues to grow; thus, additional titles pertaining to the authors may be available. The resources may be borrowed from an indicated library, and some dissertations are available as free downloads.
