Propose a Journal, Monograph, or Multimodal Project
Individuals or groups wishing to propose publications should use the appropriate form:
- First, please set up a consultation with us to discuss your idea, project, or publication.
- If after a consultation you wish to move forward with a proposal, we will provide you with a link to either the IOPN Long-Form Publication Proposal or the IOPN Journal Proposal.
- Please consult our journal publishing criteria before making a journal proposal.
- For individuals working on projects in African-American Studies and interested in publishing with AFRO-PWW, please contact the series editor, marilyn m. thomas-houston.

Dan Tracy
Head, Scholarly Communication and Publishing

Dan oversees activities and policies for the Illinois Open Publishing Network, and coordinates the project workflows and activities for the Publishing Without Walls initiative. Dan consults with prospective IOPN authors and journal editors on open access publishing issues, and facilitate collaborations between IOPN and other presses, scholarly organizations, cultural heritage institutions, and research centers.
Alex Dryden
Visiting Research Programmer for Scholarly Communication and Publishing
The Visiting Research Programmer builds and manages the technical infrastructure for the digital platforms used to host the works published by IOPN and the Publishing Without Walls initiative.
Angela Watters
Digital Publishing Specialist
The Digital Publishing Specialist manages editorial workflows for the IOPN imprints Windsor & Downs Press and Publishing Without Walls, and works with IOPN Journals editors to establish best practices with their journal website and workflows and make their issues discoverable after publication.
