A Needle Blight of Austrian Pine

Over a period of years, blighted needles of ornamental pines have constituted an important part of the diseased evergreen samples received by our laboratory for diagnosis. A method of wintering the infected material was devised, so that the needles could be examined periodically and the development of the fungus studied in detail.
