Preliminary results of an investigation of the food of fishes based on microscopic examination of stomachs and intestines of 149 freshly collected specimens representing 54 fish species. Results are reported by fish family. Among the reported food organisms are other fishes, insects, arachnids, crustaceans, and mollusks.
