Mundo Deportivo Mundo Deportivo is an Argentinean magazine specializing in sports. Issues from 1949 to 1956 are available upon request at the International and Area Studies Library. This publication is particularly relevant to the study not only of sports but other topics significant to scholarly research about Latin America. Populism in Argentina, politics in Latin America, racial and gender phenomena in the region, and Latin America's economic scenario are some of the issues that can be explored through sporting events and using this weekly sports magazine as a primary source. El Gráfico Published in Buenos Aires since 1919, "El Gráfico" is one of Latin America’s oldest and most respected sports magazine. The Library holds issues #1947 to #3608 (from January 1957 to November 1988), totaling 1,662 issues. This collection was acquired with the generous support of the William R. and Annie Laurie Horsfall Fund. Olympic World Library The Olympic World Library is a library maintain and supported by the Olympic Studies Centre, part of the International Olympic Committee. The IOC Olympic Studies is the world source of reference for Olympic knowledge and this library is simultaneously a library catalogue, an information portal and a search engine for Olympic knowledge. In particular, the Center holds valuable collections, including the IOC’s historical archives that offers over a kilometer of documents retracing the history of the IOC and the Olympic Movement from 1894 to the present day. It also provides access to 30,000 publications and 450 journals. The website is available in French and English. LA84 Sports Library and Digital Collection The LA84 Foundation maintains a traditional paper-based library as well as a growing digital library. Together, these collections cover all aspects of sports, with a particular emphasis on Olympic information. The LA84 Foundation was created with a share of the 1984 Olympic Games surplus and since 1985 has been supporting hundreds of non-profit youth sports organizations throughout Southern California annually, trains coaches, commissions research, convenes conferences and maintains the world’s premier Olympic and sports library collection. Although the interface is in English, the collection contains material originally published in other languages, such as French. The material is available in formats such as.pdf, .ps, .doc, .xls, .ppt, and .rtf. This resource has been collected by the DLLACS collection at the Latin American & Caribbean Studies Library.

La Vida Baseball "La Vida Baseball" is a multi-media website produced in association with the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Its purpose is to celebrate Latino baseball and it includes material such as articles, video-essays, photographs, and interviews. "La Vida Baseball" is supported and published by a team integrated by both sports scholars and media practitioners. The editor in chief is Adrian Burgos Jr., a Professor of History at the University of Illinois. The H-Sport Archive Project: Latin American Collections This project from H-Sport compiles and annotates archival collections throughout the world relevant to the scholarly research about sports in Latin America and the Caribbean. While many sports museums and sports organizations are well-known to scholars in the field, the H-Sport Archive Project highlights sports collections held at non-sport archives. The collections highlighted on the website and updated by 2017 are originally published in English, Spanish, or Portugues. It has been collected by the DLLACS collection at the Latin American & Caribbean Studies Library. The website "Archive Project: Latin American Collections" is open access. However, the museums, archives, libraries, or exhibitions the site highlights have their own access rights policies. Therefore, scholars interested in using the collections collected by the H-Sport should consult contact the archive directly regarding visiting the archive and any specific regulations pertaining to accessing the collections.
