Gentlemen Prefer Blondes: A Critical Edition

The Ritz

The Ritz-Carlton luxury hotel chain began in Paris and London, with the New York hotel as the first United States location opening in 1911. By 1925 it had locations worldwide. A 1919 pamphlet advertising the New York location, from which the accompanying illustration is taken, highlights features that include not only a Crystal Ballroom and various dining rooms, but also a roof garden, Japanese tea garden, and Palm Court garden.
